Due to ongoing growth, Radius Payment Solutions, a leading global fleet management company, are looking for a Credit Officer to join our Credit Vetting team at our office in York.

This role will have the opportunity to qualify for a monthly commission scheme based on performance related indicators and would also offer the potential to study for a professional credit management qualification with ICM.

What will you be doing as a Credit Officer?

  • New application processing involving the gathering of key information to ensure we are making sound, well informed, judgemental decisions.
  • Interrogation of financial statements and assessment of these, including trend identification
  • Daily generation of volume reports using in house database and excel. Monitoring, managing and reporting of exceeded Credit limits escalating where necessary
  • Assessment of customer fuel drawings against their agreed credit limit using on-line credit reference agencies to obtain company/consumer information
  • Assessing customer accounts making an informed decision on Credit limits ensuring minimal risk, whilst being commercially aware
  • Contacting customers to resolve credit issues
  • Dealing with applicants, existing customer and extensive contact with the sales team

  • Excellent ability to communicate at all levels and a confident telephone manner
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm towards work
  • Strong knowledge of excel
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload to meet targets and deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a close team
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
