Due to ongoing growth, Radius Payment Solutions, a leading global fleet management company, are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team at our head office in Crewe.

This role also includes AAT study support.

What will you be doing as an Assistant Accountant?

Provide vital support in the preparation of the monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.

Typical work activities include:

Profit and Loss Accounting:

  • Undertake gross margin invoice reconciliations - reconciling sales ledger reporting to Oil Company and site network purchasing, calculating monthly accrued income and expense
  • Production of monthly ppl margin reports for inclusion in management accounts

Balance Sheet Accounting:

  • Produce comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, including accrued income and expense schedules
  • Fixed asset reporting
  • Intercompany balance reconciliation’s
  • Undertake bank reconciliations for Group bank accounts
  • Assist with weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting
  • Production of monthly VAT reconciliation, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and submission
  • Provide accurate and timely information for management reporting, as required
  • Continuous improvement of systems and process
  • Ensure all deadlines are met
  • Work to a high degree of accuracy

Qualifications and specialist training required:

  • Strong GCSE’s (minimum of B grade for Maths and English) for school leavers
  • Strong A-level results (or equivalent) for college leavers

What experience/skills/attributes do you need?

The essential skills/attributes are: -

  • Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of fostering strong working relationships within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail

The desirable skills: additional ideal experiences should include:-

  • Experience of Sage or similar accounting system.
  • Experience of interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people to gather relevant information.
