Due to ongoing growth, Radius Payment Solutions, a leading global fleet management company, are looking for a Credit Officer to join our UK Velos Credit Team at our head office in Crewe.

The Velos Credit Team is responsible for managing the end to end Credit function for our commercial Charge Card product. This includes the underwriting of new credit applications, the limit management and spend analysis of existing accounts and also the collection activity on the accounts which fall into arrears, in line with our commercial credit policy.

We would ideally like the successful candidate possesses experience in Credit/Fraud and have a Financial Services background, preferably also being familiar with a regulated product.

This role has the opportunity to qualify for a monthly commission scheme based on performance related indicators and would also offer the potential to study for a professional credit management qualification with ICM.

What will you be doing as a Credit Officer?

  • New application processing involving the gathering of key information to ensure we are making sound, well informed, judgemental decisions.
  • Interrogation of financial statements and assessment of these, including trend identification
  • Limit Management / Spend Analysis
  • Collection of returned direct debit payments in line with company procedure
  • Making decisions with regard to the stopping of accounts. Re-evaluating accounts for release in line with the terms of our policy
  • Communicating effectively with other areas of the business
  • Reviewing and updating standard procedures, ensuring these are fit for purpose
  • Complying with FCA regulations as per guidelines

What experience/skills/attributes do you need?

  • Financial Services / Regulated product experience preferable
  • Credit experience is preferable
  • Complaint handling
  • Innovative and forward thinking
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm towards work
  • Excellent ability to communicate at all levels
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with sales and credit colleagues
  • Ability to excel under pressure and prioritise /manage own workload
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel
